sweet! I have been waiting for this. I just got back from the emptied parking lot playing with snow in my car.

now I have to wait for the next snow to take out this FWD car to make some donuts. I couldm't do it in my AWD.

more snow, the merrier. 🙂

for some reason, buffalo, ny is notorious known for snow, but we don't have any this winter. the snow will probably be melted tomorrow. I know my friend in central new york got like 1 feet of snow on the ground. my sister who is 55 miles west of buffalo got 2 feet.

my handbrake doesn't lock up the wheel....it is an auto. 🙁

this is my first car, I can't really tell the different between a car that handle well in snow or not. all I know is my car handle pretty damn well thanks to the subaru AWD.

Dont fry your center diff in the subaru by pulling the handbrake. Many have learned the hard way about that.

We got like 10" inches here in Chicago and the shiznit is still coming down.

Can't wait to move out of here!!!!

Heh, I drove through 6 inches of snow in KY on roads that were not plowed with Quattro AWD. I had Z-Rated tires, too!

AWD > All

RWD ain't bad, but if you've got a car with traction control it will piss you off. I was driving the Benz today, and it was raining. If you kick it around a corner Mr. ESP wants to kick in, so you have to turn that bastard off, or it will just go slugggggggh if you lose traction.

You know, I like traction control if I'm driving in a blinding rainstorm, but if the road is just wait get away! I drove a RWD Mustang with a ton of power for a long time, so sliding the back end out is almost a hobby. 🙂

E-brake + a little bit of snow (1/4") over ice = goddamned perfect sliding conditions.

It happens at least 2-3 times a winter here too.
