2 in, 1 out audio selector switch / box

Hi All,

Basically, I have a set of 2.1 computer speakers that only has the one line out cable connection to my pc, but I want to be able to hook my xbox up to my pc monitor and output the audio to the same speakers, without having to switch the cable from one source to the other manually. I'm looking for a sort of selector that would allow me to direct the audio source to the speakers.

Is there anything that exists like this? There's optical audio switches, but they output to optical, and there are 3 into 1 hdmi switches, but I haven't been able to find an inexpensive device that allows me 2 line-in, 1 line-out, or 2 stereo-in, 1 line-out configurations.

Can anybody direct me to this device? Does one even exist outside of a full-blown receiver?

Thanks in advance,
Trevor

I jerry-rigged this once with a headphone splitter. It worked as long as one source was on at once.

But it is not an optimal solution for many many reasons, and not every splitter will work.
