2 identical systems, as follows:

Core 2 Quad Q9650
1GB RAM
Ubuntu 12.0.4 LTS

installed:
fahclient_7.3.6_amd64.deb
fahcontrol_7.3.6-1_all.deb

System 1 (!): est. PPD is ~2600 (Project 8568, FahCore 0xa3)
System 2: est. PPD is ~8400 (Project 10450, FahCore 0xa4)

I've let both systems run for over 48 hours now, but the stats are still basically what I listed above. What's with the discrepancy? And is the ~8400 PPD where both should be at?

WUs from different FAH projects give different PPD. You can only compare performance between machines with WUs from the same project.

Thnx.

Can anyone confirm this? Just to put my mind at ease.

I'm not really concerned about my PPD. I just want to make sure my systems are contributing as much as possible.

Yes, that is correct. And not only are they different projects, they are different cores. A3 vs A4. Don't know the differences between the two but wouldn't be surprised to see a performance difference.
