Two headed snaked aren't actually that rare. Occurs more often than people think. But like the article points out, they usually don't live very long - and this one happens to be albino which is very cool.

I would say that it is not as unlikely as you might at first think. Albinoism is due to a genetic flaw, which I would guess is also the reason for the 2nd head.

Basically, this snake is most likely the result of some serious inbreeding.

The snake has female genitalia, though Sonnenschein believes one head is male and the other female.

How did he figure this out? Was the male head, er, "tasting in Braille"? :shocked:
