Hey guys. Im thinking about buying either this:
OCZ Enhanced Latency Dual Channel Gold VX 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-4000
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-227-206&depa=1

or this:

CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System Memory - Retail

I plan on gaming, and Im lookin for some good ram. Is there a noticable increase in the extra gig? I know the 1gb is faster ram, and Ive been told its great for overclocking(which I intend to do-im also buying a AMD athlon 3000+ venice). So which should i buy?

I'd stick with 1gb for gaming, your not going to notice much difference with 2gb unless you are into heavy graphic editing etc.

OCZ Value VX is twice as cheap as the Gold VX

They have the same design, the Value VX is just not hand-tested but majority of the Value VXs have the same overclocking potential as the Gold VX. It's just not garanteed.

To answer your question, you'd have to specify what are u using your system for.
Current games 1GB is sufficient. If you do Photoshop which is a RAM lover then I'd recommend 2GB
