I'm guessing her plan involves the same mechanism her husband's "clinic" uses to get rid of the ghey.

I going to go all Dave here and make a firm prediction that the (nonbinding) Iowa caucus will be Bachmann's high point in this campaign. If she is still around she has a good chance of winning the Iowa caucus but will fall like a stone after that.

Pretty damn sad to claim victory in a poll where you only get 80% of the votes you literally bought. No way she should be in charge of the federal budget with a 20% wastage tolerance.

I think that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard a politician say... That's dumber than Palin saying she reads all newspapers.

I hear ya, but Obarry the communist Irish Muslim promised us jobs and we are still waiting.

Probably one of those point of order things, just have to keep waiting on alllll those jobs we were told 11 years of Connecticut Cowboy Cheerleader tax cuts were due to create...

In other news, stupid people make stupid comments to get their way, film at 11...

I thought the wonderful scheme of Republicans was to let businesses solve all the problems with the economy and jobs. Now she wants the office of the President to tell the oil companies how much to charge for gas?

This is classic Bachman/tea party; bitch and moan about government subsidies/stimulus while standing in line to cash the government check.

I need to dig up the picture I had of a Teapublican rally where one person had a sign which read "I want the government to keep their hands off my Medicare!"

Ummm dipshit you are endorsing the party that wants to get rid of Medicare and/or Privatize it where the healthcare industry can profit more and consumer get the shaft.

LMFAO

1. Nationalize oil companies
2. Pull out of global market for oil
3. Invade Canada
4. Blow up Canada (people, not the oil), the blue states, and California (even if they go red when they see which way the wind is blowing)
5. Re-invade Iraq
6. Keep collecting SS payments, but don't pay any out and use the excess to buy gas for everyone

$1.25 gasoline
Reduce the world population by 90% and you'll have all the oil you could ever want ;)

Developing countries are largely responsible for the rising oil prices. China actually has cars and shit these days, not just slaves pulling a cart. India too.

I agree it was dumb...but, IMO I have heard dumber shit from (regardless of political position) Kerry(anytime he opened his mouth like Bush), Biden (like bush looks dumb and said dumb things during the last election), Bush (all kinds of stuff, was good humor) & Obama (there are more but, one that stands out is the 57 states, and yes that is something that is really dumb from an educated person living in the US).

My point is they all say something stupid at some point...so who cares other than to laugh at their expense.

If you nationalized all oil/gas in this country it would not take long before, even if you could find a station that still had gas for sale, it would be well over $10 per gallon.

Good plan.

The repub version of price control: Crank those profits up no matter what kind of damage it does because it only does damage to Democrats.:p

No. Republicans have never mandated a price floor for profits. Democrats are generally more in favor of price floors for wages.

She's going to get rid of all taxes and surcharges attached to the price of gas and then she's going to deregulate the oil industry into driving their costs down. Then she's going to get rid of any unions that are in any way related to the oil industry to drive costs down even further. Then she's going to deregulate the oil speculators even further which will surely bring their oil speculating costs down who will in turn pass the savings on to the consumers (she thinks). Then, she's going to do a Reagan-style amnesty for all illegal aliens and have them work for the now-deregulated oil/energy companies at slave labor wages.

Then the petrol companies say "thanks, sucker" drop the price of gas by 10 cents and pocket the rest as extra profit.

then they raise the price of gas in 6 months by 15 cents anyway.

Obama has been a tremendous disappointment. And I'll write in a vote for Cthulhu before voting for Obama in 2012.

What politician doesn't? Read my lips!

But promising gasoline < $2? Completely unrealistic. As if the PotUS can just snap his/her fingers and the price of a commodity does their bidding. The problem is, ignorant people eat this up and believe it.

Hey, if she says she can do it, she can do it. Conservatives wouldn't tell the public blatant lies to get what they want - would they?

OMG!!! LOL!! Conservatives don't tell blatant lies? They live them don't you know.
