Are the generic inks pigmented also like the OEM ones are?

Hmm, might want to compare to other places, this isn't that hot of a deal for me and my Epson 880, I can get them cheaper here.... Text

(ex. $2.88 for color w/ free shipping and or $1.80 for black w/ free shipping)

Don't know. But the pictures look identical to me compared
to ones printed with factory ink.
Epson C80 is supposed to be archival grade, generic ?.
If keeping photos for 20+ years, might want to use factory.
If i want a photo to last that long, I'll probably keep the original
on disk, can always reprint.

Your right on the prices for the 880, but for the C80 Megatoners
is more expensive. Black C80 $10.95 for two ($19.90 for 4) at 123injets
$9.99 for one ($39.96 for 4) from Megatoners

For canon 201 cartridges (BJC-600 series), I have found 123ink.com to be good. Good prices and cheap shipping (free if over $30 order)

I dunno.... selling 2 cartidges for $11 is mighty suspicious when the the best Staples/CompUSA can do is $29. I mean, yeah, they over-price but not 6-fold. I'll invest my money in refills I can trust on this one....

Yeah, because Epson puts lots of love into their assembly line manufacturing process making a vastly superior product to these generic cartridges. And and Staples/CompUSA NEVER take advantage of the market. LOL.

these are generic ones, not the high priced name brand ones you find at the store. these will do just fine, however some people just swear by the name brand, saying it looks better.

myself, I notice a tiny difference, not enough to make me pay $22 for a color catridge instead of $2.88 though :)

Buy your generics elsewhere... 123Inkjets sucks ass. Took me 4 months to get a refund from this company for defective carts. It involved flamming on resellerratings.com (check out those reviews), multiple CC disputes, endless phone calls, etc. Considering this place it 2X the price of Megatoners, buy one get one free is NO deal.

123ink.com works great for my Epson 800 Color printer. Maybe they should increase the price on a new line of premium ink cartridges for those that are skeptical of low prices? Say make it $16 each for color and say $12 for black cartridges!! I tried ink injectors and they did NOT work for my Epson. I can not reuse my cartridges more than once!

Some Epson cartridges have chip in them, if you choose to re-ink them you have to reset the chip- there are several ways to do that, do the search. However most generic Epson cartridges I bought, made in China, use the same ink, look alike, work alike, probably produced by the same companies who make them for Epson. Why I think so- inks are very different between Epson and HP , for example, for some reason , original Epson ink, does not work well on any other paper than form Epson, same with those generic inks. It got me thinking...

The generics worked fine. No difference I could see. And certainly no difference worth $20+.

Unfortunately, they are made in China. They'll be going back.

I ordered recently from 123Inkjets and received the EXACT SAME carts as I got from Megatoners. They are fine carts for my Epson 820 and run about $7 each shipped with this deal for color. No one else is as cheap right now period. They came quick and no hassles so far. These are all marked by G & G for manufacturer.

As for the print quality I found them to be QUITE comparable with Epson carts, you just had to tweak your output settings a little.

i have a epson 860 and ive found megatoners.com to be the best. if i recall i paid $1.35 for black and $2.35 for color. shipping was $4.75 for usps priority which isn't bad if u order in bulk, but dont want 18+ to get free shipping. as far as quality goes, this generic ink works fine, and i could never see myself paying $30 for 1 ink cartridge. id cop myself a pencil and learn how to draw before i spent $60 on a set of ink.

reason why epson's generics are so cheap is because epson cartridges are basically tanks full of ink. HP and Lexmark include the printer head as part of the cartridge and those aren't cheaply reproducable (therefore it's cheaper for them to buy refill kits). It's not a profitable move by epson, but in great for consumers because of the widely available cheap inks we can get, less high tech garbage to throw away, and less hassle/mess with refill kits.

I've bought from Tyler Martin many times and have been very satisfied.

I've bought a dozen or so cartridges from Tyler Martin and have never had any problems with them. The ink works well, the colors are great, and (most importantly) the prices are cheap!!

Highly recommended!!

I dunno.... selling 2 cartidges for $11 is mighty suspicious when the the best Staples/CompUSA can do is $29.

Pretty much all printer manufacturers lose money on the printer itself and makes it up on ink. Consumers are generally dumb, and look at the initial cost instead of long term cost with inks. Lexmark is the worse, with HP being close behind for gouging on ink. I have been using the Canon individual color cartridges since the long term cost is so cheap if you use generics. BJC600e>BJC610>BJC6000. I think generics are about $3 a color on Ebay, and if you run out of red, you throw just the red away.
