2 finger swipe sometimes works, sometimes not.

so I just installed lion on my macbook air, and I know I got all the swipe settings correct. When I do a 2 finger swipe to go back and forward one page, I seem to have trouble getting it to work. It has worked a couple times (1 out of 10 times), so I know it's functioning correctly. I just can't get it to work consistently. besides swiping left to right, there's no other special movement right? frustrating!

I thought it was 3 finger?

In Lion I think that it defaults to the 2 finger left-right would be back-forward with that slow thing where it reveals the previous page as you are swiping.

I hate that so I made sure that 2 fingers in any direction scrolls, and that 3 fingers will swipe back-forward.
