2 DVD Burners........setting separate regions

I have 2 LG DVD Burners. I live in Japan so I bought one so I could set it up for region 1 DVDs and I so I could set up for region 2. I have them both running on an IDE cable. The problem is when I change the region on 1 of them, the regions on both change. Does anyone know how to remedy this???

Not a bad idea.......I'll try that. But is there no way to set the regions on each drive separate???

I live in Japan too and I flashed both my Plextor drives to region-free...
