So I just received my computer from Cyberpowerpc yesterday. I set it up, hooked up a monitor I just purchased also with all 3 cables (VGA, DVi, hdmi) and turned on the computer. Everything started up fine.

So as I started downloading virus protections I decided to pick up the computer and turn it around so I can plug in speakers I got. When I set the computer down, the screen blurred a bit and pixellated and shredded some, then it was fixed and displayed the message "Display driver has stopped working and has recovered".

After that everything seemed fine, I played diablo 3 for 2ish hours, then logged off. Realized I never updated my drivers I went to go do that. However as I was sitting on my desktop screen and on the phone (before finding a site to install drivers) the screen started doing that again, over and over 3-4 different times in 5 minutes (each time I got that "Display driver has stopped working and has recovered" message)

So I shutdown my computer, and booted it back up hoping that may help, and as I turned the computer on the monitor went through checking each of the connections (top right corner it had a 2-3 s showing of HDMI, VGA, dvi) and after the 3rd one the monitor displayed a no signal response and went into sleep mode.

I do not know much about computers, but I would really like help. Especially within 15days so I can decide if I need to return within first 30 days or not with these issues.

You only hook up 1 cable from the monitor to the computer, not 3. Chose the DVI first and see if it works with that alone.

Thank you, I will do that when I get home and try that.

Any ideas on the display driver issues?

Some ideas I thought of is that the card got loose during transit, drivers need an update, etc.

Like Gus Said, Hook up one cable first give it a good testing and make sure everything is good. After that update your display drivers, usually if the card comes loose at all youll loose video or get a video error on post.

Alright, I was just wondering if it may be loose as I said I first got that message/issue when plugging speakers in which required me to pick up and turn my computer around so I could see the back of it.

And when I turned it back around. So I thought moving it around with a loose gpu could do that.

Wait, you got the message when plugging in the speakers and the computer was on and running a game?

No, I wasn't playing a game. The screen was on my desktop, no programs were running, I actually just turned on the computer for my first time and was making sure sound worked via speakers before i started downloading virus protections etc.

It actually happened when I picked up the computer and turned it around (before plugging speakers in) and set it down, and again when I returned it back around. Not when I was actually plugging in the speakers.

Removed the card and reinserted it back into the computer.

Tried updating drivers but it failed, also auto update said it was already most current. Well, looked like all was fine for like 20 minutes, but then all the sudden it started happening again here or there once in a while.

Over the weekend I have tried:

Uninstalling and Reinstalling current drivers. (Didn't work)

Removing video card and putting back in to make sure it was snug. (Nothing changed)

After a few resets it looked like it was fine for a little while, but then I had some of the worst artifacting I have seen, and even eventually it went completely black, but sound of the video I was watching was working correctly. (Pretty sure at this point it is the GPU, and not the MB, though I cannot say)

Another Issue I was having (the monitor), it took 2-3 resets for it to recognize a signal (getting no signal error) and this only worked for the VGA cable. Both the HDMI and DVI cables kept getting no signal. (I dont know if this is common with the acer monitor I got or similar issue with the GPU)

Unfortunatly I have no way of testing monitor or GPU for both issues as I do not have another computer on hand to test each part on that.
