2 display adapters after 9800 Pro upgrade

Hi, I just installed my new ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb vid card last night. Upon reboot after installing the drivers/software, Windows XP Pro gave me a "recovered from serious error" message. I dont know if that has anything to do with this, however I show 2 display adaptors in device manager, a Radeon 9800 Pro, and Radeon 9800 Pro (secondary). I wonder if this is hurting anything, and if I need to remove it from device manager, or remove everything and reinstall my new card. Thanks everyone.

That is correct. The card has dual ramdacs to support 2 displays.

OMG you got one of the mythical dual-cored 9800 Pro-Maxx cards, you lucky bastard!!!!







Just kidding - it's normal. That just means you have two identified RAMDACs and thus dual monitor support.
