2 different ymf744 chipset revisions

I found two identical YMF 744 sound cards but with slightly different chipsets. The Aopen AW744-L uses the 744-B chipset, and the AW744 uses the 744 chipset. I think they're different revisions. However, I don't know any differences between these two revisions of the chipset. I don't know whether one is better, newer, or what. Anyone know anything about the ymf744-B and ymf744 chipsets?
