Right now I have a 733eb @ 770 (5.5x140). the max i got stable was 792. what tips can you give about upping the vcore. i dont want to shorten life too much.
Also, i recently unlocked my friend's amd 900tb and brought it to 1000 (10x100). it was all great until we installed rage3d, which corrupted the registry. then, upon formatting, it said that a ntfs partition was bad. i finally fixed that and after the install, windows would spontaneously reboot and reveal acpi errors in the error log. i saw another person with the same errors on the via thread. something about acpi trying to write and read out of permission at 0x70. we didn't think the oc was to blame but formatted again. for many times with many cds, even in the non-gui part it said cd read error. upon hitting \n (enter) each time, it continued. and many times it would die in setup with page fault in non paged or irql not less than or equal to. i upped the vcore +0.025 without luck. i didnt want to puch another 0.025 because i am still a bit unexperienced with the vcore. but upon returning to 900, it was all good. why is this happening? the temperatures stayed at about 105f (40c) the whole time even with load. we tried all bios settings without luck. help
