2 different brand hard drives -compatible?

hi 🙂
i currently have a maxtor 80 gig 133 ata hard drive and am considering buying a western digital 80 gig ata 100 JB series drive and am wondering how well they will work together or if i will run into problems or am i better off buying another maxtor drive - exact model as i have?

i am using a msi 648 max-L motherboard with this.

any help would be appreciated 🙂
 
The only combo I've heard of problems with (from a Dell rep) is putting some Seagates as masters ... then some other brands won't want to work as slaves.

Your combo should be just fine though.
