they keep using the word "expired" instead of "died". Sounds so clinical.

its official...2 postal workers died, but no direct confirmations its caused by anthrax.

What "freaks me out" is, which 2000 are they testing?????? Correct me if I'm wrong, but, these letters/packages were sent USPS........the letters and packages are at one time or another basicly bunched together to go to/from seperate locations........if a postal worker can contract Anthrax by handling it or breathing the air in the mailroom this has got to be military grade stuff. Having said that, I think we all know how well some letters/packages are sealed, so what's to prevent this stuff from spreading nationwide????? Maybe I'm wrong but it seems logical to me that if these workers are contracting Anthrax by handling the mail or breathing the air in the room........they better start testing/treating bulk drivers, handlers, sorters, and route carriers nationwide if this gets much worse.......not to mention us......the recipients!!!!:(

They are, they found the entire Trenton, NJ post office was contaminated...

They are cleaning it out now... It is currently closed, no one is being allowed in other than "bunny suits"

If I was a postal worker, I'd be seriously thinking about requesting hazard pay!

No kidding...

I was talking to my postman today, I asked him what he thought about all this... He said that quite honustly, if this keeps up, he may find something else to do for a living... To quote him, "it ain't worth dieing for"

This is what worries me. It seems like it's a lot easier to contract Anthrax than I thought. These guys didn't open any letters. They only handled them. These same letters are touching other letters -- letters that are passing through to homes in the US.

Also, they closed the BWI air mail handling facility to perform some tests. I recently ordered some HK DVDs and I'm worried that it will go through that facility. I'm currently waiting for that package. Now I'll be worried that there will be some spores on that package.

I think many Americans figured after the first few days of this that they were safe, that somehow only a dozen people might be infected... I have the feeling this is just the start of a long bio-terror campaign...
