2 days untill the big Windows XP release (official). I just realized this & was wondering if anyone was planning on going out & buying it thursday?

I actually want to get XP, but it seems so darn expensive and it's so similar to 2K. Anybody have any idea what it'll cost for a student edition?

2 days? I've been running Windows XP Pro final for 2 months. It's definately worth upgrading too! I'll never use a Win9x OS on any system again.

I've been running it for 2-3 weeks now - pretty stable, pretty nifty - and it doesn't seem to be running noticeably slower or anything than 98se. Only gripe so far is that none of my burner software works correctly (or at all) with XP and I have to wait till it officially launches before HP comes out with updated software. :|
