Is it me or is the Recession starting to really take it's toll.... I mean I understand as survival of the fittest is prolly kicking in on some of these people but man, this country needs to spring back!!

As for the nut jobs running around, its a shame... I just can't comprehend why they'd do the things they do.

I hear that, I try to give insurance the least amount possible also, I figure I make it up in 6 month's just by not having a wreck.
Yep these clowns are going crazy now, they prolly felt invincible during our awesome economy and just bought every toy they could and stayed on credit and check to check. Now no one is hiring contractors and such or sevrence is up and people are going nuts trying to survive.

Thats what I told him, it's State Farm, I told him to call the 1-800 Number, I think his agent is BS'n him, waiting to hear back from him now.

i dont' know very much
first time it was stolen from a UC campus, they took it stripped it and dumped it on the side of the road
98ish civic with minimal mods (springs rims etc not riced out)
this time he found out about it this morning, gone from his apartment complex
same car with looooooooots of mods (riced out but fairly clean, too ricey for my likes but not ricecop ricey)

Did he have any sort of alarm or something? If this happens alot maybe he should forgo the mods for an alarm or something.
I don't think anybody would ever try stealing my car, nobody is that desperate. If you've ever seen the SNL skit where they have the anti-theft personal luxury car (looks like a POS on the outside but REALLY nice interior) you have a decent picture of my car. It's an old caddilac that's been beat up on the outside pretty badly. If that doesn't stop them, the fact that they'll get pulled over because the speedo is off from swapping differentials might help.
I don't think anybody would ever try stealing my car, nobody is that desperate. Way I see it the government can work on 2 birds with one stone here, They need to hire more officers, for one thats more employment and 2 it's more protection for the upcoming Loonies that are out due to the recession.

My friend's car got broken into when it was parked across the street from my townhouse a couple years ago. Called 411, asked for the Atlanta Police Dept information line, called that, said I don't have an emergency, just need someone to come by and file a report, they say call 911. Ok, whatever, I call. They say unless the guy is still there, that an officer doesn't need to come by. They'll have someone call back and get the info and file the report over the phone. Oh well. Rather em out there stopping crimes from happening than coming by and doing paperwork for us anyways.
The theives in my neighborhood didn't bother taking the car just my license plates.
