Also, somewhat unrelated to the overall topic:

You have the rule about first connectors wrong. The plug you have on the HDD is the last connector, not the first. The reason we prefer to use the "first" is because it goes through the least number of crimped connections and has the lowest power loss.

And thank you,
The 2 separate string thing,Yea you are right..I was wondering about that because an 8 pin 150 watts? I was wondering about how a 75 watt string could even power it. But I did not know about the 2 string together rule..But if the card is good should it show some signs of life,Right?

I understand about busy. And Better late than never,Thanks again Elite.. Somebody already corrected me on the first on the string issue. Now I know

But I already sent the card back for refund.

Every since I got this card and installed it I'm having other issues.Never had issues like this before.

my device manager had a big question mark for unknown device and the device is looking to the Amd catalyst file for drivers.Which I deleted,Weird.. Well I took care of that from showing up in device manager so that is fixed..But the big issues from it are still present So the remnants of this Amd catalyst are still there ..

I had to reinstall my Intel graphics for the agp on the mobo and maybe the remnants of the amd and the Intel are conflicting?I'm just guessing and trying things.

Windows 7 is having start up errors and every since i installed the drivers a green line will blink real quick and go away before windows comes up... I have to start my computer using xpress recovery 2 (F9) on the gigabyte boot up screen if i want to get on...

Amd has some kind of file or driver that is tricky to uninstall and I don't have any more room on my back up drives ..Never had issues like these before. I actually read some complaints about this with windows 7x64 before posting this topic. The 2 I've read from Toms had no solutions other than contacting AMD.

So yes there are some things to be aware of before installing their software and drivers...It's not like most where installing and uninstalling is on the fly, obviously..

I've also learned since it's not uninstall on the fly, via control panel that You damn sure better know the trick of installing it and uninstalling it correctly before using it..And I will tell others the same.
Nobody has shared the solution ,yet the threads on the issue are present online. And I followed and read the manual twice.
I'll write Amd and see what their solution is,hopefully won't have to buy another back up drive to remove what ever remnant of catalyst it is,And find where ever it is so I can remove it.

Sorry to hear about the Windows issue, software can be a pain sometimes. I'm having several issues with my OS right now as well (Vista x64).

Used to be, to uninstall GPU drivers, you booted into safe mode and used driver sweeper to clean everything out. Problem is I don't know what (if any) current software is for that.
