2.8v for memory too high?

Do you think a voltage of 2.8 or higher for Crucial PC3200 is too high? I've searched in Google and some hardware sites have taken their Crucial modules to around 2.8v but I don't know whether this would be considered a safe voltage for prolonged use. So can you guys give me any advice on this?
 
Alot of people do it, but Crucial might not suppot it under their warranty. So if something goes wrong, you may not be able to RMA those chips.

I know Mushkin only covers my RAM if I operate it up to 2.75v... no more.

The best way to find out is looking up your RAM on Crucial's site and see what they list for safe operating specs.
 
Not at all.

I have ran 2.8V on every system i build or use.. Overclocking or not, sometimes seems to increase stability on a flaky system.

Unless the chips physically burn, you will not have any issues with an RMA.
