2.8v a 'safe' voltage?

I had to crank the voltage of my HyperX 3500 up to 2.8v due to my overclock (running it at DDR462). Is 2.8v going to damage this memory long term?

This is a newb question, but my searches did not turn up a definitive answer elsewhere.

Should be fine. That's generally what I recommend for the maximum. I'd be reluctant to run at anything higher than that.

should be ok... i have mine at 2.75... IIRC Corsair warranties their sticks up to 2.8 and Geil covers their Ultra Platinum up to 3.0
