2.8 Mb/S equals to what ?

I have 54 Mbs WiFi connection. I have notice Xfer speed is 2.8 MB/S. What is equals to ?
Router DGL 4300 Nic is Stock WiFi in IBM Think Pad T43

realize that 54Mb/s isn't even close to real world...

8 bits = 1 byte

So 2.8MBps is equivalent to 22.4Mbps. Since wireless is half-duplex and you are running 802.11g then you are enjoying the full "speed" of wireless.

all WL is half duplex then where does the 54 mbps come in at if it can never achieve that?

Then not BAD at all; I am impress; hell some what compress too like DrvSpace from DOS 6.22:beer:
So if were to get 2.8 Mega Bites per second. it equals too 22.4 MPS Sustain Data Xfer
