Actually for overclocking 2.8C is better option since with 5:4 and 250FSB the chip will go 3.5 GHz on tight timings. And even if it is not capable of going that far it can do 3.2 GHz on 229 1:1, which almost any decent Canterwood/Springdale board can do.if you are gonna OC i would just get the 2.6

For 2.6C 5:4 is the only available choice to go over 3.3 GHz.
Depending on who is buying. If you have planned to spend more than $200 on the CPU you could as well consider $260. At least you certainly wouldn't need extra heatsink or top notch motherboard to get to 3.2 GHz.so it is worth the extra $$$?
