Hey this could sort of go in general hardware also but since its also about OCing i posted here. Basicly, I need to upgrade my system in the next little while and would like to get a top of the line system that I can have some fun OCing but not pay for the TOP of the line (2.8 p4). Im considering either the p4 2.66 at 533 FSB for about 300 and some change shipped or the athlon 2400+ or 2600+. If I was to get the AMD I would unlock it. Basicly my question is for all you pro overclockers, which system will get me the best performance / price afterI overclock it. I will be purchasing Corsair PC3000C2 or PC3200C2 ram, not RDRAM.

Other questions-
it is true that EVERY 2.66 is a C1 stepping right? Cause if not i don't wana risk it

if you can recommend one, please recommend it with a mobo that is good for overclocking, (must be DDR mobo), and preperably one with 8x AGP and usb2.0 (i plan to get a nv30 when they come out so 8x agp would be nice)

Thanks in advance, I know the athlon 2100's are great bang for the buck, but I am willing to pay up a little more for something higher

Since the 2400+ just recently became available, I haven't seen much information on how well the will overclock (in general).
