2.6@3.2 likely?

of course, im just wondering what others are hitting. if heat is a problem, i figure i can point my desk fan inside the case.

I'm running a 2.6 @ 3.22 completely stable on a ASUS P4C800 -E Deluxe (875P) haven't tryed much higher yet as my powersupply is only 300w and i got 2hd's and dvdcdrw combo also.

Mem is at DDR 400
basically evrything is enabled in the bios Turbo ,performance accelarator etc..

That shouldn't be impossible, given the right chip, but why not spend a couple of bucks on a good heatsink?? Hasn't anyone ever told you that the lower temp you keep your processor at, the longer it lasts?

I was running my 2.6C @ 3.2 with the stock cooling for a while. It was very stable and the full-load temp peaked at 57C. I put in a Zalman CNSP7000AlCu HSF and the temps dropped 10C and now I'm stability testing at 3.4Ghz. A good HSF buys you more OC room.

Don't hold your breath for 3.2. My 2.6 runs @ 3.0, 1.575v (1.54v actual). 70C under full load w/good case cooling and stock HSF. I'll try more voltage when I get my Zalman, but I'm already hitting a wall.

id say it is very likely, as ive tested out 2 2.6Cs and both of em could do that quite easily. nothing is guaranteed though. it might be worth a couple bux for a new hs/f

I went through 6 of these

1 does 3.25 default voltage and can fun 3.45 with 1.675 volts
1 does 3.25 @ 1.675

3 of them barely did 3.1 with voltage up to 1.7

1 of them didnt get past 3 gig with 1.7 volts.

these cpus were used on same test bed.

From my experience 2.6c @ 3 gig= likely

@ 3.25 requires some luck

I tested the cpus with 8 hour 2x prime 95.
