Just picked up a new 2.53 from Fry's this morning.
Popped it in and started running 170fsb @ default vcore
1.525v BIOS (Actual shows 1.552v - CPU_Z)
The P4G8X only shows 1.525v for a low so I could not test under this vcore.

3DMarks up next

The SL6S2 is an OEM chip.
It is a Multiple VID release.
You can read about it Here.

Enquiring minds want to know.

FYI - I am benching first and letting the ASIII and Chip set in.

Will be running Prime95 in a day or two in order to find the sweeeeeet spot.

I just want to see what this little girl can do. ;)

Temps are at 46C idle and have seen up to 51C when running benches.

180fsb benches completed = 3.420Ghz

Had to increase vcore to 1.55v BIOS = 1.585v Actual
to complete 3DMarks.

Going for 185fsb next = 3.515Ghz
Am I getting nervous

Yup - When we start uping the vcore the end is definately near.
Then good old P95 always cuts it down a notch or two. :)

Anyone interested in my old crummy oem 2.4b SL6RZ

I think it just got replaced. ;)

Running Prime95 NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Down to 183fsb @ 1.65v BIOS
Full load dropped vcore to a low of 1.59v and temp
peaked at 60C for a high after about 35 minutes of P95.
Still running - No errors yet. :)

Great job!! interested to see where you're prime stable. Best i can do is 173MHz. May jump on another one if I can find one that's recent (a 2003 born-on date).

That's a screamer you have there, congrats :) and with a "Sunon 50cfm fan" I mean screamer in more ways than one :p

Prime cut me down to 183fsb = 3.477Ghz
vcore = 1.69v
Maximum temps = idle 42C load 60C
Ran it from 1130PM last night until now (5.5 hours).
Looks like that is where she will stay for a while.

It actually boots up 193fsb into WinXP but will not complete
3DMark benches even with 1.71v actual. That is the max vcore
that I would be willing to run it at.
