2.5" (Laptop) HD Cramp

Looking for Some Room to Breathe 😕

New for college, I just got myself a laptop as my only computer and all I want at this point is some hard drive space. I have a confining amount, and I can't find anything larger than a 60GB in the 2.5" format. I'm willing to pay for it, and I don't want an inconvenient external drive. Is it possible to find a, say, 100GB hard drive for my laptop?

Help Appreciated

Maybe I'll just have to live with not owning all the futurama I ever dreamed of...
or perhaps I'll go back to 56k, that way my hard drive space will last

Does it have a removable bay? Many times you can add a second or third swapple internal HDD this way.

larger sizes cant exist yet due to platter size and density. and more platters is not an option due to space limitations.

please do not discuss illegal activities on the forums.

So TiVo is illegal? Why can't recorded episodes be shared? If you can do it on tape, you can do it over the 'net. It's just another medium for free speach.

how'd you pull tivo out of your ass? he obviously isn't talking about tivo. lol. not like we haven't seen every single retarded rationalization for theft of copyright already...

anyways, do what everybody else does and burn the material to dvd, no reason to leave it on your hard drive.

Because it's the same function. TiVo's and ReplayTV can share content over broadband also. TiVo is obviously not illegal. Recording a television show to tape is not illegal. Recording a television show to PC is not illegal. Putting it on a DVD is not illegal. Putting it on another hard drive is not illegal, whether the Internet is involved or not. Let's not draw these imaginary legal lines like the overbearing copyright holders. If P2P is illegal, so is FTP, email and plain old handwriting. Downloading a recorded television program is a legitimate use of P2P services.

If you can't see the relation now... Do you blame me for not being more specific the first time? 😀

Mday COULD have thought he was referring to DVD rips, but there is not a complete collection of episodes on DVD. Most people are satisfied with their TV-recorded VCD collection of episodes. 🙂
