If you have a CC nearby and you don't mind 2 MIRs, MDAEN250USB2 Mad Dog Multimedia Hard Drive Enclosure For 2.5? ATA/IDE drives is $4.99 AR.

If you want a cheap 2.5" enclosure, you can easily find one for ~$10 shipped online and not have to deal with rebates.

http://www.xpcgear.com/otbenclosure.html - ($10 - $10 rebate = FREE)
http://www.xpcgear.com/emvst25.html - ($12 - $3 coupon - check Ben's = $9 shipped)

Or you can go to CC, get it immedialely and spend, when all is said and done, less than $10. That's what choice is all about.

The coupon code for the second enclosure you mentioned (to get it down to $9) is xpcgear619se25.

The first one - for free after the $10 MIR is a good deal! Anyone have experience with xpcgear.com rebates?

according to many people commenting about it over at fatwallet, you'll never see that maddog rebate.

I did two Maddog rebates a couple years back. Took 5-6 months and repeated calls and emails if I remember correctly.

I've never had any trouble with Maddog rebates, but I haven't done one in perhaps a year, so maybe things have changed.

Huh, no trouble with magdog rebates on 2 enclosures over the past year. I really need a 5.25" enclosure. Are only the 2.5" on sale?
