Um, only takes drives up to 100 GB? And requires USB to be plugged in to power it?

Something is a bit off, I'd say...

I belive there is power adaptor for it.

I'd say you're a bit off.

First there are only up to 120GB 2.5" drives available, 160GB forthcoming. The chipset will probly handle those fine.

Second, why do you WANT to have to use an AC adapter? 2.5" drives run fine off USB power, assuming the port is putting out enough power.

these enclosures w/o AC take up two USB ports. But Firewire comes in handy since it can draw enough power by itself. 6pin that is. not the 4pin on most laptops. good price for combo enclosure. but not as hot with shipping and tax.
