Anybody know it?

Atleast I hope thats what my problem is. I was doing a tuneup yesterday and broke a bolt in the distributor and had to pull it. Now today I stuck everything back together and I think I screwed up the plug order. Its either that or I got the distributor way off but the shaft that drives it is notched and will only go in at one spot so I dought it. Its not even trying to fire.

btw 93 nissan truck

Oh and which one is #1 on the cap

That's the firing order for the 2.4L 4-cyl (KA24DE).

I got it from 240sx.org FAQ

Both the 240SX and your truck share the same engine so the firing order should be the same.

Hope that helps.

As for the ditributor position, I think maybe you should get a service manual. Chiltons is good but kinda techie, Haynes is idiot proof but not as detailed. Haynes has worked for me so far. One question I have is how did you drop the distributor without the #1 cylinder being at TDC?!?!?!! Isnt that the most important thing to do.

Good luck

Thanks guys I figured it out. The problem was my old cap had the vent/breather hole on the opisite side as the new one and I didn't notice that when I put it back together :). Swapped everything around and it fired right up.

As for the distributor I marked it when I pulled it but I cleaned my mark off :D luckly it would only go in one way so it really wasn't a problem.

Now I just need to go out and buy a decent timming light like I have been meaning to do for the last 4 years.

Yep. IIRC, all 4 cylinders are 1-3-4-2 except old VW air-cooled flat-fours, which are 1-4-3-2.
