2.4Ghz Wireless mice vs Wifi

I have been doing some reading and it seems that some users have run into issues when using a 2.4Ghz wireless mouse in a house with WiFi devices. It seems like both logitech and microsoft have gone this way so I am wondering how real the problem is? Is this a wide spread issue or only a minor one limited to a few users?

I would think that they know about the problems and that you can easily solve it by changing the channel of the WiFi devices. I went from channel 5 to channel 11 and it got a lot better for me.

THanks. I also realized I used a bluetooth mouse now and they operate in the same frequency range if memory serves me correctly and I have no issues.
