Do they all sound like crap? Or just this cheap one that I got? My old 900MHz one works awesome, but I wanted one with an answering machine so I got this other one. Any suggestions or comments or anything?

Yes, wireless networks are known to mess with 2.4ghz phones.

Do you live in an apartment complex? Near highpower electric lines? Have lots and lots of electronic equipment running in the house?

It could be just a cheap phone.

But I think my 900mhz radio shack phone sounds better than my 2.4 uniden.

No apartment, no major powerlines, and no one around me has a WAP. I think it's just a cheap phone. Hasanyone had a good experience with a 2.4 phone?

I have a Panasonic 2.4 and I think it sounds fine. Only problem is it kills my Logitech Wirless PS2 controller. I find that rather strange.

I have a 2.4 GHz phone and I live in a large apartment complex with many wireless networks and I've never had a problem. It works great. It's one of the "high-end" phones though.

OMG, Southwestern Bell is the worst! I have no idea how they're still putting their name on stuff.

I am interested in what 2.4GHz phones people here think are good. I'm gonna need one soon.

I got Uniden from Costco - and I can't complain. Phone sets are small, alsmot the size of a cell-phone; good looking, too. The sound quality is excellent (and I have a wireless network). Never had a problem with anything.

I got rid of my 2.4Ghz phone within a week and bought a Uniden 900MHz dual headset phone and it rocks. I have a wireless network and I couldn't use a 2.4Ghz phone w/ it. As soon as I turned on the phone my wireless connection would go down and there was a loud hiss on the phone. Worthless.....
