2.4e slow?

From the reviews I've seen, the Prescott is usually trailing behind the Northwoods until you start ramping it's speed up past 3.0+GHz. Also, they're kinda warm 😉
 
yeah it isn't worth your money
i hear they don't even have HT enabled

my 2.8e with HT oc'd to 3.2ghz performs like a 2.8ghz P4c

And it doesn't even run cooler on only 1.38 volts? Man... maybe Intel should have skipped the 478 Prescott and just delayed until socket 775 was ready.
 
The new socket is not going to help much with the heat.

Intel has spec'ed the BTX case format to help "Handle" all the extra heat put out by the faster Prescott chips.
