Did anyone get a 2.4C from Staples with this batch # and pack date? If so how did it overclock?

Batch #3318A147
Pack date 6/05/03

Got a 3318 6/6 packdate a week ago Wed, installed it and went right to 250FSB/3G at default 1.52 vcore. Tested with Prime95/Memetest and others for 2 days, no problems.
Went away for the past week, just got home today and will let it run at 3.0G for a couple more days then try for more.

got a 3318A batch as well with 6/6/03 pack date but don't know how high it will overclock since it's still in it's unopened retail pakage for about 2 weeks now. Hopefully it will do 3ghz as well.

Gtprojectx you said in another thread that you were using an ABIT IS7 and running 2.6 at 1:1 stable. I was over at the ABIT MB Forums and read the IS7 has problems running at 1:1. I also talked to a guy over at Hardocp forums with the same batch# as us using the IS7. He said he is running 3.0@1.55v.

I didn't have time to clarify my answer last night but I'm running my 2.4c at 250 FSb=3.0Ghz with HX PC3500 running at a 5:4 mem ratio=200Mhz (400 DDR) and 2-3-2-6 timings

You got 2.6 at 1:1, so 12x217 FSB which makes your DDR at 433Mhz
With PC3500 rated at 434 you're right on the rated speed. Now you may be able to "relax" the DDR timmings and get a little higher FSB at 1:1 but if you go to 5:4 mem ratio you might find that the 2.4c will OC better.
Some are even using a 3:2 ratio and getting upwards of 275 FSB.
The alternative is to spend more $$ and get some of the new PC3700/PC4000 that will do 1: at higher FSBs.
Best test of how high the 2.4c will go-set mem ratio to 5:4 or even 3:2 and find the limit of the CPU, then go back and do the memory.
