Just like the title says.
Which one would o/c better?

I know that Rambus is not o/c friendly.
Cooling would be stock Intel HSF.
Memory is PC800 but I can clock it down to PC600 to
give it more room for FSB o/c.

What would you say?

I have an 8IHXP, PC800 RDRAM, and a B0 2.53. The highest I can get stable is 145 FSB for 2.75Ghz. Any higher and my RAM starts to crap out, since it doesn't seem to like anything higher than PC870. I'm using two sticks of Samsung PC800 40ns. However, I am not overvolting the ram, and I am using stock cooling. Hope that helps you decide, but as always, YMMV.

The 2.53GHz CPU's were in fact B0 core when first released. If you are looking at overclocking then go for the C1 stepping 2.4GHz as they can hit higher speeds than the B0 core which has a max speed of about 2.8GHz where as the C1 stepping has been know to hit or even exceed 3GHz. Plus the C1 stepping 2.4GHz will overclock on air better than the B0 2.53GHz.;)
