2-3 Day Priority Mail Anyone with lots of shipping expierence?

I had someone ship something to me from Palm Beach, Florida by priority mail today. (I live in Louisiana ~837 mi. from them) Is there a way I can find out if it will get here on Saturday? Does USPS count the shipping day as a day? Do they have a chart to show what area to what area will be 2 day delivery?

USPS isn't guaranteed.
It'll get to you most likely Monday or Tuesday.

It will most likely arrive to your location on the 3rd day of mail service.

day 1. Client drops off package
day 2. Package is in mail
day 3. You receive package


That said, it's not guaranteed. You have no way of tracking it. It has taken me 14 days to receive a package before. GL

Yep, just an approximation. I shipped a package less than 100 miles via PM, and it took a month! I've shipped stuff across the country and it took 2 days.

You never know.

I have had a couple of first class mail quick delivery anomalies. One time I mailed a certified letter first class from Alabama to California on a Saturday and it was delivered on Monday. Another time I mailed a small package w/ dc# first class from Alabama to Michigan again on a Saturday and again it was delivered on Monday. Never had similar experiences shipping the other days of the week though.

If it didn't get misrouted and if there were no issues with weather or any other kind of problem like that, then you will either get it Saturday/Monday/Tuesday (at the latest).

Otherwise it could take forever if it got lost.

Also, if your friend shipped it out on today but at like 5pm, it might not leave till Friday morning.

I got a package from California to Connecticut that was shipped Monday afternoon and received Wednesday morning. From here I can ship Priority Mail to anywhere in a 3 or 4 state radius and have it get there next day at least 95% of the time. If it shipped today you should EASILY get it by Saturday and it might arrive Friday.

While its possible you'll receive it Saturday I wouldn't count on getting it till Monday.

I shipped something to Alaska from Maryland on Thursday afternoon, and it arrived Saturday morning via Priority Mail. I was floored. :Q

Depends how rural you are, and what time of day the package was dropped off. I think you're going to have to wait till Monday.
