(2/25) Did you see the Memphis girl on American Idol?

Man she was embarrassing. You all might think that she was just upset with Simon but let me tell you that that was the typical black Memphis woman attitude. Anytime you have a problem with one of them they go off like that. It gave the that truma that Vietnam vets get. She was on the news here the night before... I am sooooo glad she took out her gold teeth caps for television. Honestly I would have rather seen Frienchie, the girl she replaced. I'm sure this girl probably has a little freak/strip history too.

That chick (Juanita) is just an idiot.

If she stopped and listened to herself, she would realize that she was one of the worst to sing tonight. But she could never do that because she is too damned full of herself.

That is why I like American Idol. They tell it like it is. The people that suck but think that they are good are so fun to watch after they are verbally torn apart in front of 25 million people.

I also live in Reuben's home town, Birmingham, and if you watch the local Fox affiliate they're promoting the heck out of him during the shows and commercial breaks (which was the only reason I started watching the show to begin with - actually enjoyed it so far.) He seems like a good guy and definitely has one of the best voices that I've seen so far. Hopefully he'll put in a good showing in the final 10 because he definitely has the talent to win it. Ironically the guy who actually impressed me the most (because it was surprising how good he could sing) was another guy in his group who didn't even get picked yet, Clay. He's one goofy looking, skinny little guy with big ears, who you'd never think could sing the way he does. But then he started singing and I was shocked. I think they still have a wildcard round to go through so maybe he'll make it.

And just because you sing in your church choir doesn't mean you can sing, nor does it mean that you can be a pop star. Simon has told these women since the first set of 8 is to stop trying to sing so hard and so old. He calls is cabaret singing but he means the Aretha Franklin/Mahalia Jackson voice thats these women think they have. That is NOT pop singing. He is not looking for just a singer but a full pop style performer.
