Red Alert 3, Red Alert 3 Uprising, C&C 4, and C&C 3 Kane's Wrath are all $4.99
C&C 3 Tiberium Wars is $7.49

I suggest avoiding C&C 4 at all costs.

Was Red Alert 3 any good? Looks kind of gimmicky to me from the screenshots. I loved the original RA.

And for reference, I love AoE:II, but didn't particularly like AoE:III.

What?

Anyway, RA3 was ok, it was hard to get past all the ridiculous cut scenes and the cartoonish design. It was a good game underneath if you are willing to go through all the padding.

Too bad they all blow donkey balls.

Bring back Westwood Studios!!!

Was C&C 4 really that bad? I never got a chance to play this one.

I think Uprising has Rick Flair in it.

“I'm a limousine ridin', jet flyin', kiss stealin', wheelin' dealin' son of a gun. Wooooooooooooooooooo!!!”

There's a reason Tiberium Wars is more than the rest tho, it's without a doubt the best of the bunch.

C&C 3 is pretty much the only one on there worth owning.

QFT
It's actually even better than Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 in many ways. Not as good as CNC95 or RA1 of course, but totally worth buying. It's also the only game that has an active multiplayer lobby.

Massive downward trend in quality after that

So, if you could only get one, C&C3 would be it? Or better off to just skip entirely?

Seriously, one of the tags is "jenny mccarthy naked"?

Anyways, I've not played any of the new C&C games, not since the original RA. I might check C&C 3 out.

C&C 3 is great if you ask me. They had a pretty tough task releasing a game living up to the originals, with an all new studio, so many years later but I think it's very well done.

I haven't played any after that, but the C&C3 expansion still got decent reviews, but not as good as C&C3.

Red Alert 3 also got quite good reviews, almost as good as C&C3. I loved C&C and Red Alert games, so I've been thinking about picking up RA3. The biggest complaint I heard is corny cut scenes but c'mon that's not a surprise and who cares if it's fun. RA3 expansion sounds sort of like the C&C3 expansion - okay, but certainly not better than the regular game.

As for C&C4, it got slammed pretty hard in the reviews. Apparently it's changed quite a bit of the regular C&C gameplay.

RA3 is really corny. But that's kinda the point of it, to be over the top. In terms of core gameplay, I remember it to be quite similar to the originals. I liked it.

D'oh how can I forget... the babes! I guarantee you'll watch most videos twice for em.

That said, can we have a minute of remembrance for the memory that was Westwood Studios?

I'm playing through C&C3 now; so far it's pretty freakin' great.

That said, I think I actually like RA3 better than C&C3... I got both for Christmas so they're both fresh on my mind. I just like the general goofiness, but I think there is also a lot more strategy in RA3 (C&C3 isn't particularly innovative, but RA3 has made me have to think & strategize). I also think RA3 is much, MUCH more difficult than C&C3. RA3 Uprising is really fun, maybe even more fun than RA3.

Command & Conquer died after Red Alert 2.

The memory of Westwood Studios will live on in the hearts of those RTS gamers who joined the revolution on Arrakis.
