I live in this city too. That's pretty crazy.

wow. I wonder what caused them to jump the rail?

I was headed downtown on Highway 30 here in St. Louis for an interview last week when I noticed that the west-bound lanes on the other side were at a dead stop. I'm not sure how it happened, but the end result was an 18-wheeler full of those 5-gallon water jugs that go on top of office watercoolers was scattered all over the road, and the truck was being picked up by a towtruck.

Holy crap! The diesel tanker exploded after falling off the bridge?!? I'm not from Lake Charles, LA, but is it in poor condition from Katrina or something? This little blurb at the end makes me think it is:
Tell us what scary or dangerous experiences you've had on I-10 or I-210 bridges on the 7 Newsroom Blog.

Damm, bridges along I-10 have sure been taking a beating the last couple of years...Didn't a barge take one completely out a couple of years ago? Killed several people? Then the big crane/derrick barge during Katrina last fall, now this...

Yea. Witnesses say that they saw a big ball of fire as it exploded when it hit the ground.

We are still recovering from Hurricane Rita. The city looks a lot better now, but there are far fewer trees in the area now.
