2.16W too much for a mobo fan connector?

Hi guys. I ordered a 120mm Panaflo fan for my heatsink. I was just wondering if its rated power consumption of 2.16W is too much for a mobo to handle. It will be installed on a DFI LanParty UT nF4 SLI-DR. Thanks for the hlep.

Should be fine. Especially on the DFI which gets extra power from the 2 extra connectors, so PCI-e draws less power from the big connector. The 24-pin connector pretty much goes to powering stuff on the motherboard, fans, etc.

Did you check the manual? Often they state how much of a load those can take in the manuals.

I don't think you should have a problem with 0.18 amps. Anything about 0.5 I would contact the manufacturer though. I had the same question, and my Supermicro mobo handles up to 1.5 amps on the 3-pin fan headers. Another person I found said that their mobo could handle 0.5 amps, according to the manufacturer. So there is a lot of differences between the mobos.
