Hi, looking for a good 2.1 speaker to go with my Audigy 2

I want good sound for games and mp3s. Bass is very important to me... I know 2.1 setup is quite hard to fill the room(except Klipsch)

there are many 2.1 out there, but this time i need a very compact subwoofer. I am just talking about the size(footprint) of it yet i want the most power out of it.

i am moving to a very small apartment, therefore small rooms. So small subwoofer is my only choice? or do u know are there any wallmounted subwoofer?

one day , i dropped by my local LundonDrugs and saw the Altec Lansing XA3021(mostly for TV gaming, PS2) the bass for it is quite good though. but it is made of plastic(sub). and i am living in HK, so dust is a problem. this set of speaker has too many holes.

hard to find a speaker that has a "vertical" subwoofer.

no chance to try out the Altec Lansing 621, i know it has plenty of powerful, but it is quite expensive too.
Don't know if Logitech z340 has enough power...
Don't know if Creative Lab has a good 2.1 speaker setup....
Don't know any other brand.

oh oh oh, i think i want a headphone jack too.

My considerations are: Altec Lansing 2100. However, haven't have a chance to try it out. However i don't like the way it control the sound by pressing buttons up and down.

haven't seen Creative i-trigue in the market yet, but it looks good, don't know how's it sound.

I would stay away from the AL 2100. They are bass heavy, and the high /mid range is not very good. I would seriously recommend that you get the Creative Inspire 2.1 (2500) speakers. They have a cloth screen, so you don't have to worry about the dust, and they have a nice range (including good bass).

I use the creative inspire 2.1 with my laptop & they give a pretty decent sound for the size.
the bass level is adjustable at the back of the sub!

About 2 years ago I bought my Creative Labs Inspire! Slim 2.1 2600 (same as 2500 but with "slim" speakers), along with a SB Live! 5.1, both of which I still use. I am very happy with this combo. Sound quality is very important to me (I listen to a lot of music, mostly rap and dance/techno). Sometimes I wish I had surround sound, but this system suits me well. Good luck finding one though! BTW, I've heard the 2500s (the non-slim version of mine), and I think the slims sound a lot better. Plus you can hang them on a wall with a nail or screw!
