2.1 amp car charger

I just picked up a dual USB car charger that is rated at 2.1 amps.. will that be a problem with the hardware? e.g. killing the battery, etc

No it shouldn't be a problem at all. The device should pull what it needs and if it supports 2A charging it will pull up to 2A.
