I've been meaning to do this for a while, but never can remember to look around.
Found a nifty little program called OdoPlus.
Tracks your mouse movements. I was curious how many feet I move a mouse in a given day (say over a standard 8 hours).
I've had this running 3 days now (haven't shut it down) and just crossed 2,000 meters. So divided by 3 gives me about 667 meters a day, or 2,200 feet. I really expected it to be a lot more than that.
Granted it's not super accurate, because of my setup. A 19" monitor which is used most, hooked to a laptop with a 15" screen. And transitioning from one screen to another, it can't take into account the size difference. Or maybe it doesn't matter.
I use a notch below the fastest mouse setting, and do 6 scrolls per wheel click. At 5,333 wheel clicks a day...lots of forum reading
Only 10 right clicks a day, and 623 left clicks a day. 0 middle
Anyways, nifty little program worth fiddling with just for amusement.
