1xBFG 6800u 512MB vs. 2x eVGA 6800GT 256mb

Bascially, as both setups would cost aprox the same amount, whcih would be faster.

2x 256mb 6800GT's

OR

1x 512mb 6800u (is this the OC version from BFG?)
 
512mb 6800 ultra is the dumbest thing ever, no added performance, definatly not worth 1k. Buy a 7800gtx though, as you don't want to be spending that much on old hardware.

Agreed

A 512MB 6800 Ultra offers virtually NO performance gain over a single Ultra. SLI'ed 6800GT's is of course better.

But like Cheese said why not get a 7800GTX which will be cheaper and faster?

Nope.

Get a 7800GTX now, upgrade to the current high gen card when it gets old.
