I am so wary of OEM drives because of warranty.

I kind of want to go buy the Seagate at microcenter for $140. $20 for a few years more of warranty+not OEM?

Anybody know?

Then again if prices are $120 shipped right now, where will BF prices be for TB drives? <$100? $90? Dare I say $80?

Good price. If you're willing to wait til BF, you could get this for $99. I plan to wait.

or 125 shipped for samsung 3 platter drive http://www.mwave.com/mwave/vie....asp?scriteria=AA73228 7200rpm and rivals the best 1TB drives, quite and cool soo i hear

i had bad luck with my one and only samsung, but people really like them. Mine (750GB) was Clicking on arrival and i sent it back to newegg for a 320gb seagate. Prob a big mistake :(

I am close to ordering the samsung but prices will drop to under 100 soon and i dont need a HD right this min. (Voice of reason)

I got three platter 00D6B0 GreenPower from Microcenter a month or two ago. They are already selling, however it's a YMMV.

From experience? Seems they have been around for a few months now but I'm not sure how to be guaranteed a model (I've read that you can find them at MicroCenter B&M).

Also, the new WD10EADS (not WD10EACS) will have 3 platters and 32MB cache but I'm sure will be at a premium for a little while.

Great price!!! But I just can't buy a drive that isn't Seagate. Without the 5 year warranty, worthless IMO.
