1tb micron ssd <$200

Interesting find.
They appear new, not refurbished and their warranty is covered by this company, smithbuy.
Just one year on it though.

I was looking at why only one year warranty on a new SSD. Seems its less given that these are bought in bulk. Click on the view.

Warranty: Contact your Micron sales representative
for further information regarding the product,
including product warranties.

Still a decent price.

Micron sells its retail SSDs branded as Crucial units. Any SSDs specifically branded with Micron markings are OEM only units and as such have no warranty direct from Micron. You are basically dependent upon the seller to provide the warranty.

My problem with cheap ssd is that I would like my data to last. So the question is an OEM micron ssd a reliable ssd ?

People that have them on other sites say they are good SSDs. The best way to handle it is something you ought to be doing anyway - create a strict backup regimen and follow it religiously. If you do that, it should be no problem.

It's an MLC with componentry similar to the crucial m550 or mx100, not likely to need the warranty. It said OOS when I checked it 🙁
