I don't see this option to make it 1T.

I've got 2x2GB of ram so I shouldn't have a problem with the whole 4 sticks of ram stuff.

The 1-2 % performance difference wouldn't even register a blip anyway. Don't sweat it bro.

The "1 to 2%" performance difference I count in MB/sec in synthetic benchmarks. It seems like a bit more than that.

BUT . . . . memory makers seem adamant that their products weren't meant to run at that CMD, insinuating that short life-span may result.

And as myocardia says, no dice and no cigar with the P35 chipsets, maybe even for all INtel chipsets -- he's right about it.

Even with the nVidia chipset path I've chosen since early 2007, I only run my memory sticks at 2T CMD now.
