Sight seeing...we're thinking about grand canyon...but, where's all the action at? where's the best place to eat? Which are the best shows?

thx!

Vegas is boring after going there over 13 times. Go see the pirate show at treasure island, go see the impersanation show at the Imperial Palace. Mandalay Bay has good buffets, and the rum jungle. If you want a cheap buffet goto Harrah's. You can go in the Eifel Tower next to the Paris Hotel. NY NY has a cool rollercoaster, but it's a short ride and alittle expensive for a coaster ride. When walking down the strip, it's funny watching the Mexicans passing out the Callgirl cards. Caesar Palace has a cool mall with talking statues. The mall has Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Versace etc. It has alot of resturants also.

I hear they have this thing known as "gambling." I recommend blackjack and poker.

There is no alcohol in the comp. drinks. Why do you think there is a "pay" bar in every casino. I buy a big cup and walk down the street till I get to a real liqour store. Then I make my own and walk around pleasingly drunk.

I now use vegas as a launch pad. I stay there, watch a couple of shows and gamble a bit but I rent a car and go see stuff. Last time I saw the Grand Canyon, that big @ss crater, spent a night trying to get pics of a "ufo" outside area 51, the Hoover Dam and a couple other things. You will probably have a better time if you just schedule one big show and a couple cheaper things like comedy at the Rivieara. Don't overschedule and wait till you get there to schedule tours. You will come out much cheaper and happier.

Edit: wow I spelled schedule 3 different ways.

Seafood Buffet at the Rio! Pricey but well worth it. Get there at about 5:30-5:45 if you dont want to wait in line forever. I think I ate about $100 worth of food when I went there.

I second that. Friend had vodka on the rocks at the Bellagio. Can't really take the alcohol out of that.

Side note: Strawberry daiquiri at the Bellagio is the greatest strawberry daiquiri on the planet, and they serve them in actual glasses!! I kept mine and use it whenever I want to be reminded of the joy that is Vegas.

Most people order mixed drinks. I had about 15 Gin and tonics at Ceasers before I said fvck this and cabbed it to the liqour store.

Edit: Maybe they just didn't like me. I don't see why though> I always tipped and I lost a bunch of money.

Yea..my first time seeing the Blue Men Group was in vegas.

I had a white tank top on at the time..and was really considering asking one of them to put their blue hands on my boobs.

But I was with my uncle and I think he prolly wouldn't have been too happy about that... heehee.

Like others have said The Canyon will eat up a whole day. If you're renting a car take a quick trip through Red Rock Canyon, it's only 1/2 hour from the strip.
