I would like to build a computer for my 6 year old daughter. She's a gamer already following in her daddy's footsteps. I would like to build the best system possible for under 400.00 US dollars. I've got a Monitor and a fairly new WD 80 Gig HD. So, i'de need everything else.... Part of the reason for doing this is to teach myself and learn how to build these things. So what would you recommend for componets ?
$400.00 + or - 20 bucks......

Hmm, lets see what I can put together.
Motherboard $60 with integrated graphics, and an AGP port if you want to add a video card later.

2800+ Sempron $69

Memory 512mb PC3200 Geil value $44.99

Antech SLK3000-B case $52

Black Rosewill DVD/CD-RW combo drive $25

Antec Smartpower 2.0 350w PSU $52

Chainkek GF 6600 $106 if you think your 6 year old will need more than the integrated graphics.

Total with the video card would come to $407 plus shipping, but you can probably find better prices elsewhere, I just used newegg cause their website is so easy.

Something like this may be good.

Chaintech VNF3-250 - $60
AMD Sempron 2800+ - $70
Corsair VS 512MB - $50
Saphire 9800 Pro - $130
Antec SLK1650B w/ 350w PSU - $65
Total - $375
