damage424,
I forgot to mention that on that motherboard i seem to remember you need a PS2 keyboard for the DEL key to work for entering the bios.

So if you happen to be using a USB keyboard and cannot get into the bios, try one of those green USB/PS2 adapters or scrounge up an old PS2 keyboard.

If you're already using a PS2 keyboard, then of course Ignore what i just typed. 😀

USB headphones and any "GAMING" specific headsets are inferior solutions here and some of the absolute worst bangs for your buck around..

Get a true sound card and connect it to true headphones (and/or speakers), analog out.. the only way to go.. make sure you don't make the mistake of outputting digital too, or you are rendering the sound card useless.

Without a doubt though, sound card drivers can be a BITCH.. I remember running into tons of install loops for one of my rigs with an old Creative Audigy 2ZS (also not a bad solution if you can pick one up on ebay for like $20) . Your best bet is to google for the specific model sound card and its driver solutions and the workarounds you may need.

We've got the OP covered there, He'll be ok.
Once we get his Xonar installed and working, then i'll pass on how to get the windows navigation start.wav sound working correctly so he has navigational sounds while browsing etc..

The Asus drivers seem to be a problem for many folks.

However, people are praising a third party form of drivers that fix many issues with the regular Asus drivers.

damage424,
Please tell me ya didn't kill that pc with static or anything last night.
And you got it figured out on your own googling and are just so busy enjoying your new soundcard that you forgot about your thread.

Hey, Sorry I haven't replied back. Been busy Gaming 😀

Well, I kinda just installed all my new hardware (soundcard and network card) and everything seems to be running just fine. I actually ended up buying the Corsair 1500 you guys are talking about (I didn't realize they were USB at the time). I have to say, they are super super comfy, but I just don't think they are worth the value in gaming. I'm going to return the headphones and get Siberias and use my speakers for music
