1st pc can ftp. 2nd pc cannot ftp

my desktop uploads to an FTP server fine, wired connection.
my laptop cannot upload to same FTP server, wifi. strangely it can FTP to other servers fine through VPN. i have tried Filezilla and just normal Windows explorer ftp. all gave me a timed out error.

i have tried release and renew IP. didnt work. any ideas?
 
Permissions issue? Or maybe your laptop has an old dns entry (assuming your ftp server doesn't have a static config, the ttl on the server is set really long, and you put your laptop to sleep instead of really shutting it down. Kinda reaching 😉

I would definitely double check IP addresses, though.
